I typically keep a new, extra pair of this style on hand, so I can quickly change them out when the old pair wears out. This is the one time I failed to have that extra pair handy! These have had a sole change, but it is for the better. As long as the appearance didn't change, I was willing to pay the premium price this time for my neglect of not buying them at a sale price locally. They are comfortable without being bulky and heavy. With the foot issues I have, they are a stylish alternative to the bulky walking shoes I wear other times. I even toss these in the wash, when they start showing dirt or odor. A great shoe.
