Excellent qualityWorn Sebago Docksides for 25 years. Great shoes. Schooner is a little darker. Wish there was a narrow width.Sebago makes a great looking quality constructed shoe. The shoe size is cut narrower than past years.I have an old pair that still held up well but I bought a 10.5 regular width years ago. The boat shoe of today that fit was a 10.5 wide widthA bit tough on the leather. Needs some time to wear in. Maybe buy 1/2 size larger next time. With leather, you really need to expect that you need to break them in. These shoes were made so well, and the leather was treated so well that the break in time was just a couple weeks, and now that they are broken in, I love them. There is not much arch support, but they are mocks. One can't expect a running shoe from a mock. The fit and finish is nice. I can polish 'em up for Church, or just wipe them off for every day. As with all real leather one should treat them to some good saddle soap or mink oil, or some general leather treatment once in a while, and they will last a long time.I liked the quick delivery and I purchased the shoes for myself.Classic boat shoes. Good leather. True to size. Wearing 10.5 W - ordered exact size / last time different model was half size too loose / had to give them away. After asking Amazon customers decided to order my usual size - the shoes are spot on!Sebago and Sperry are the pioneers and respected name in the classic shoes industry, especially boating mocs...My 12 year-old Sperry Topsiders FINALLY came apart... After overcoming sticker shock, Decided to go with the Sebago Docksides this time, especially since the Schooner comes in 3E (I do have a wide foot) and was priced lower than the Topsider with the discount...Pros: Well-made and handsome shoe (as expected) though time will tell... Extremely comfortable and soft, don't need to break in... Regularly sell for $130-135 at retail stores, but got for under $80... Also prefer the black sole versus the traditional white sole... Wasn't sure whether to get 7.5 or 8... Got both from Amazon LLC... Returned the 7.5 with free returns... No need to guess on sizeCons, the sole used to be hand-stitched to the upper leather... It is now glued though made to look like it is hand-stitched, so don't know how long it will last... Sorry to see them made in China instead of Maine, but then isn't everythingHope they last at least 5 years with daily Spring-through-Fall wearI have a wide size 9, if wide enough I can fit a size 8.5, but these are tight in the length and have cut both my heels. Have used a stretcher but no good and are nearly unwearable. Can only use them for car journeys or short walks. I ordered schooners and these look like the photo of schooners but they are called docksiders on the insole (and sole side as the photo). The box says docksiders and also says schooners.Somewhat confusing and I really regret buying these.I have had several pairs of Sebago shoes over the years and the quality is excellent. At this price I had to have another pair in a different colour. These are very small shoes, I'd go as far as to say they are women's deck shoes. Great quality and extremely well made - they just didnt fit me. I do have wide feet -if you have narrow feet these would be a great purchase.I've had Sebago Docksides for 20 years. IMHO they are the best of the type: Quality is superb: well worth the money.I normally take a 42 but needed 43 in this style, but returns system was speedy and effortless. They have an all leather insole so you don’t get rubber induced sweaty socks!!
