Not only these shoes are of great quality, but they look really nice either with shorts or pants. They are comfortable and fit very well too. I highly recommend this product.All is well with these shoes except the color. The ad said they are brown, but they are definitely black.Old Rockports has the correct size and width. That should speak for itself.Overall, a good shoe. However, there is something in the left shoe which rubs the top of my foot, above the arch. I used athletic tape to prevent a blister from forming the first time I wore them. Hopefully, this won't be necessary after a few wearings.I can hardly believe how well these are made. The only shoes I have that have lasted basically forever are Rockport. I still have 2 pair of these I bought maybe 10 years ago. Every other brand not so much... I am so impressed with Rockford I will no longer buy any other brand of shoe. I just bought two pairs of these couldn't believe they were only $55 each..Shoes exactly like some my husband had but these ran large. The original ones were made in China these in another country. Have returned them and ordered a half size smaller. Hoping they will fit. Really can't rate them until they fit.I already had these exact shoes in size 10, now about six years old and looking a bit old, decided to get a new pair, a 10 always fits me in any make of shoe so ordered 10s, they were surprisingly big and I could walk out of them easily. I returned them and ordered a 9 1/2 which are still bigger then expected, I can get them on and off without untying after only 2 weeks use. I think that when they are 'broken in' they will be falling off! I recommend that you order a full (UK) size less than normal with this shoe unless you want a really loose fit. I need to wear thicker socks now to keep them on. NB the above does refer to wearing thinnish cotton socks, which will make a difference.I have worn Rockport shoes for years with two previous pairs, which I have loved, finding them very comfortable and hard wearing. This last pair however have been a real disappointment. They are very loose, stiff and uncomfortableI ordered my usual size, 9.5UK as before but within a day or two of wearing them they felt too big and seemed to stretch very quickly to at least a size 10 or more.Tightening the leather lace hasn't helped, I've had to keep doing so, to the extent that the tongue is creased across the instep and just adds to the discomfort of wearing and walking in these shoes.What happened to Rockport? If I hadn't worn them for over a week while away from home and immediately after I got them I would have returned them. I think it's too late now.These shoes were disapointing. The fit was poor, the soles feel too thin and needed an insole. When the stitching failed the supplier refused to take them back because I had had them for too long (I always buy well ahead of needing to replace an item so I hadn't worn them immediatly)this is 3rd pair I have purchased. competitive price wide fitting suits my feet. will buy again when these are worn out.very comfortable
