I've been wearing Sperry's for almost 30 years now & they are in my opinion the absolute best boat shoe's ever made, I can say this because I have various models of other brands of boat shoes & none of them are as good. This model is another strong example of how well Sperry shoes are built. I first noticed them back in the 80's when classmates of mine were wearing them at school & I asked about them. I'm from Charleston, South Carolina & a very large number of people in the area where i'm from wear them on a daily basis so it kinda makes them the default official shoe of the city, they are the title sponsor of Charleston Race Week boat races. There was a model in the 80's I think called Sperry Gold Cup's that looked almost exactly like this model except that it had a trophy on the heel where this model says Sperry. This shoe is solid, can be worn daily like a sneaker, holds up great. I have three pairs of this model and will be buying more, If your a fan of Sperry's this shoe is a MUST. If you've yet to try a pair of Sperry's I highly recommend this model you won't be disappointed. On my second pair, having worn out the first in daily wear and sailing. Just enough cushion. Soles are superbly grippy. Not overbuilt for "style"; mimic the original shoe at first glance. Leather quality is first rate. HOWEVER, the folks in charge evidently forgot that most folks wear these sans socks. The provided insoles feel like barbed wire on naked feet. Please get a grip! These are quality shoes as are all Sperry products, and they look great. But the leather is extremely stiff and not pliable, and they're somewhat floppy on my feet (had to add insoles for them to fit right). I've had them for 6 months and still cant wear them without band-aids and/or socks. I wanted something to slip on with shorts or chinos, but they just won't cooperate. Next step is to absolutely soak them in conditioner and try to wear them around the house and see if the leather will loosen up. Bought a Columbia product to replace these that were like glove leather out of the box and needed very little break-in.Beautiful, well-made leather boat shoes, but needed to order a half size smaller. For reference, I wear a 10 in Adidas and New Balance and a 9.5 in Skechers. Ordered a 9.5 and definitely needed a 9.My first Sperry Cup 2 eye was bought ten years ago I still wear it, very well conserve. That's why I bought a new pair because they fit perfect and comfortable and a long lastingshoe.TodoI have the regular Top Sider boat shoes which I have to buy small. 8.5 when I usually wear a 9. I bought these in 9 and they're snug (big toe hits the front when walking). And I don't think a 9.5 would work either. Hopefully, like my other Topsiders these will stretch a little.Always have worn Sperry's - it's a good quality Chinese product. Better than the other knock offs. Always will recommend.I have had several pairs of Sperrys. They are VG quality, last a long time and wear well. These ones are not deck shoes which is what Sperry is best known for but they are really comfortable as a walking shoe. The leather thongs that take the place of laces are a bit stiff to tie but I got them wet and then tied them up and I will wear them like loafers. Love 'em!Well made, very comfortable, real leather. I should have bought some a long time ago. I use them as slippers at home.Great shoes. Excellent quality leather. Runs just a hint narrow. Now that I have worn them a bit the leather is stretched and they fit well. First day I. Considered returning them, but I’m glad I didn’t. Comfortable, good quality shoe for the price.Totally awesome show not to mention the price I scored them for! Unbelievable value!!Was too small and cost $22.00 to return.
