I said a sad goodbye to these beautiful shoes at the UPS store today. I've worn Sperry Topsiders for years but always the beat up, broken-in leather ones. These gorgeous gold ones looked like the fairy reincarnation of those past shoes, but the match was not to be. These shoes were too big and too small at once. My toes were cramped and stopped an inch before the end of the shoe. The sides and heal were loose and floppy, which was weird because I have a wide foot They hurt my feet after standing 5 minutes in a closet. If you have long, narrow feet, these are for you. If your feet are wide or thick, forget it.My shoes developed a split in the seam after only 5 or 6 wears. They are not my every day shoes so the return window closed. Bummed I can't get a remedy.These shoes are super comfy and adorable. They are a very pale gold in person but photograph silvery for some reason. I love them. 5 stars.Not comfortableFot was tight at first but stretched out after wearing them. The length is true, at least without socks. The seam bothers my bunion... this leather is quite stiff... in a softer leather, it might not have bothered my bunion. The heel is too loose, and i couldn't figure out how to tighten it. It looks like it should be a functional lace, but I couldn't get it to work.So if you don't have bunions and your heel is not too narrow (or you plan to wear socks), these should work for you.
