The shoes were well packed, arrived fast, and look good. They are narrow on me but my foot is between normal and wide depending on the last. Also, I know that they tend to stretch over time. They seem right now to be normal, fine Topsiders. Will update this comment if there is anything amiss; I have only had them a short while.I’ve had several pairs of these over the years. They comfortable and work well when dress shoes are too much and tennies are too little.. They’re very durable and stylish (unusual combo). I have unusually high arches and hardly ever touch the shoes’ arch, but they appear to be average. I love’em!I have had 30 pairs of topsiders, these seem to be like the originals in original packaging. Ordered my original size 11, but in a wide this time. The wide is not that much wider at all and I am a solid D to single E width. These shoes are not known for much arch support, keep that in mind. These were my first pair of Sperry Topsiders and I am pleased. Not as heavy leather as my usual brand but very light, soft and comfortable like slippers right out of the box. I always steered away from the brand due to the white sole. I just discovered the large variety of styles and colors and opted for Topsiders in black with a black sole. For me they were true to my size 11. Perfect on my left foot and a little tight on my right foot which is a little larger. I have no doubt that right shoe will break in with a little wear due to the softness of the leather. I also liked the black leather laces which are heavier than I expected. They should last a long time. Finally, the Amazon price was excellent.I've probably worn out 20 pairs of these shoes over the last 20 years. I've tried other brands and been disappointed by how quickly they wear out. These shoes will stand up to daily abuse. I literally do everything in them, get them wet, muddy, dirty, and everything else. I clean them with saddle soap and put leather salve on them and they look new. I've even scraped dried paint off the leather and you couldn't tell afterwards. Wearing out 20 pairs, the worst I've ever had happen is one of the metal grommets come out around the top at the back when I caught it in a metal chair, it is just for aesthetics so I cut it off. I've also had the insert on the inside heel of the shoe wear out after over a year of wear but the same happens sooner on every other pair of shoes I've owned. Sperry brand is definitely worth the money.I’ve been buying Sperry Top Siders for 50+ years. They have always fit my feet, they look great and the softer leather conforms to the contours of my feet much better than the cheaper options. To be transparent here, I do not wear these shoes with socks - never have (no matter what time of the year). Never disappointed with Sperry’s.great product , just was sent the wrong color. ordered oatmeal , received SaharaGreat buy. Half size up would be perfect.Initially we thought we had received the wrong size, the box showing Size 9, and I initiated a return. However we then noticed the label also showed it as a size 8 UK, size 9 being USA. So even though the shoe was slightly bigger against an identical older pair of the same make etc, the hubby decided that they were not too big upon trying on and without socks as they are supposed to be worn. The are in fact perfect. Original box, original lace hole metal rivets with the Sperry name, branding also identical on the whole shoe, so he's very pleased.Excellent boat shoes. Bought them about a month before a sailing holiday to break them in. Just got back from that holiday and can happily recommend them. The heel was a little painful at first due to an overlap of leather - I wore socks with them until the holiday. Tried them without socks while away and have no heel issues any more. Now they are broken in they are very comfortable. That said, if I was going on a long walk with them I would still wear socks to avoid potential blisters. With no-show socks no one even sees them anyway. The laces tend to stay tied better than other leather laces have done with other makes of boat shoe. The shoes take longer to dry than my previous pair of Timberland boat shoes however the Sperrys are more of a firm leather than the Tims (which were more of a soft nubuck leather). After a complete soaking in the sea they took about a day to dry. Not too bad really. Overall, these boat shoes have the classic look, they are well made, and once broken in they are comfortable. I would definitely recommend them. They're not the cheapest option, but they're really comfortable and durable. I bought them to replace my last pair which finally fell apart after well over a decade of frequent, hard wear. Great fit, completely comfortable from the first moment I put them on, and I look forward to another decade of comfy use.I normally take a nine and a half and these fit well. They seem well made and in good condition after four weeks. I wear them as slippers each day with the odd step outside. The only slight niggle is that the leather laces kkep coming untied very easily. However, this is not a big deal.I have had a pair of Sebago Docksides (or their earlier equivalent) for many years and have been delighted with them. So trying out the Sperry look-a-likes was risky. However, I need not have worried. The shoes are an excellent alternative. Look good, fit well, and are comfortable.
